Happy Birthday/Anniversary Lili! I’ll never be able to properly articulate what your modeling career has meant to me. I fell in love the first time I saw you. That was a long time ago and still today I can not get enough of you. You have “reinvented” yourself many times and you just get better as the years go by. I can only hope you keep modeling for many years to come. I can’t even imagine the internet without you. It’s part of my regular routine just checking to see when you have an update.

There are many talented models on the Teen Marvel roster, as I know from looking through the sets I have purchased. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the email address I used when I signed up, so if I want to buy more, I’ll have to re-register.

I’d be a lot more inclined to make further purchases, however, if the models were more creatively directed by their photographers.

Unlike some Teen Marvel fans, I’m not hung up on wishing that all of the girls would reveal their entire bodies in their photo sets – I actually quite like it when there’s a little bit left to the imagination. But, time and time again, Teen Marvel photographers direct their models to simply cover themselves with their hands. This gives many sets a predictability that severely limits their appeal.

For me, the best Teen Marvel sets are the ones in which the model preserves a tiny scintilla of modesty by posing behind a prop (more than one girl has been pictured posing with a candle in front of the crucial body part, for example; others have posed behind strategically positioned pieces of fruit, bunches of flowers, etc). This is wonderful, because it shows us the desired level of nudity, but always leaves us wanting more.

It’s a little disheartening to see a model remove her last item of clothing, only to immediately discard it and cover herself with a hand, as most NN models do. Often, a Teen Marvel girl is actually photographed in the act of throwing away her final garment, before clamping a hand against herself to hide the vital body part. If only they would use these garments to hide the area in question, it would add a welcome element of variety to the shoots, and the images’ appeal would increase exponentially. Any garment the girl has worn in the early part of the shoot could be used in this way, so the viewer could have fun looking at the early pictures, wondering which one would come into play at the point of nudity. Something as simple a a girl hanging on to her panties after removing them, and then holding them in front of the ‘area of interest’, would be more enjoyable to look at than endless shots of models with their hands hovering awkwardly in front of the part of their bodies they wish to hide.

The use of props other than items of clothing (let’s call them ‘covering props’) opens up innumerable possibilities for teasing images that would be fun to view. It’s also a gift to whoever has the task naming the image sets, since the titles could incorporate puns based on the props that the girls use to maintain the minimal body coverage seen in the pictures taken near the end of a shoot. I have a great many ideas about this, but I’ve written a lot already, so I won’t elaborate here.

Teen Marvel is a great institution, but purchasers of the image sets would be far better served if models were advised against relying on the ubiquitous ‘hand panties’ poses we’ve already seen, and instead encouraged to hide the essential body part in novel and interesting ways, with props tantalisingly placed in front of them. With a little imagination, Teen Marvel’s photo sets could be improved beyond measure, with the all-important teasing effect achieved in a multitude of unexpected ways. Ingeniously chosen covering props would demonstrate that the models and photographers have devoted themselves to the task of creating a tease that viewers will enjoy, rather than regarding it as a mere afterthought. An expansive variety of covering props would, I believe, greatly enliven a slightly moribund format, and make Teen Marvel the venue of choice for fans of this kind of teasing imagery.
